I'm Amanda, the proud new owner of My Starlings (Pty) Ltd.
After spending 30 years in the financial world, I finally decided it was time to follow a dream that had quietly lived in my heart for many years.
That dream became a reality with the love and encouragement of the wonderful man in my life. He recognised how much this opportunity meant to me and supported me every step of the way. His unwavering belief in me gave me the courage to begin an exciting new chapter as the proud new owner of My Starlings. A chapter filled with creativity, meaning and the joy of giving.
As a mother of three, I know just how emotional and life-changing it is to welcome a new baby. It is a time filled with excitement, love and anticipation, but it can also feel overwhelming. During those precious early days, even the smallest thoughtful gesture can make a mother feel loved, supported and celebrated.
My dream is to create beautiful, luxurious gift boxes for mothers-to-be and their little bundles of joy. More than a collection of lovely items, each box is intended to feel like a warm welcome, a heartfelt hug and a reminder to a new mother that she is thought of too.
I live in the beautiful Cape Winelands, surrounded by magnificent mountains, warm sunshine and breathtaking scenery. Many of our gift boxes and designs are inspired by my love for this special area, as well as my deep love for Africa, nature, game drives and safaris.
From the rich colours of an African sunset to the beauty of the mountains and the warmth of the sun, these surroundings inspire the colours, details and feeling behind My Starlings. My love of family, friendships, travel and the natural world is woven into everything I create.
My beloved Yorkie, Hugo, is always by my side as my little companion. His fun personality and playful nature fill my days with happiness and bring even more warmth, laughter and love to this new venture.
Every My Starlings gift box is personally prepared with love, thought and attention to detail. I want each one to feel special from the moment it is received and to bring warmth, happiness and a touch of luxury to an unforgettable new beginning.
